Leaf – Gardening with a difference!

Puffling – no ordinary bird

atlanticpuffinPuffins are unusual birds in that their young ‘fledge’ in the evening. What does this mean? Where did Puffling’s parents fly off to? The illustrations of Julie Vivas’ enable you to almost feel Puffling’s downy feathers. What medium has she used to create this effect?
Margaret Wild actually gives us information about puffins within the story of ‘Puffling’ What did you learn when you read the story?
